This thread/blog was taken from the tweetstorm I did on Twitter on 28th April 2020. This was the Tweet Thread. Below is the detailed blog on the same.
1) Knowledge Arbitrage ๐
Whatever you are selling, know that you are going to give the person such knowledge that he/she will feel elevated.
You are providing a difference in Knowledge for the price that you are selling.
The Difference is what you are Getting Paid For.
Its the transfer of knowledge. So make sure you have enough knowledge to transfer to your customer for the price that you are selling.
2) Having a Micro Niche ๐
Niche is Important But Micro Niche is the Gem.
If you make yourselves the person expert in a particular micro-niche you will be unstoppable.
As Naval says, Arm yourselves with Specific Knowledge
Let me break this down, if you donโt know.
Niche is something more specific ( market)
- Social media is a broad niche.
- Facebook is a subset of that niche
- FB Ads for a dentist is a micro niche inside of that.
If you master the 3rd ( micro-niche) you will be unstoppable.
Same way, Quora is a niche inside the subset of social channels. I have created this micro-niche for myself where I have published my book on Quora Marketing.
Arm yourself with specific knowledge, accountability, and leverage.

3) Show Them the Results ๐
Whatever you are trying to sell, show your audience what you have done that is extra-ordinary. Results will make them feel more confident about your product.
For Eg:- I am Selling a Quora Marketing Guide. So I Portray my achievements on Quora.
Did You Know That When Your Quora Answers Gets More Engagement,
Quora automatically sends your answers to Thousands & Even Millions of People via Quora Digest?
Yep, They do. Thatโs Free Email Marketing For You.
They Sent My Answers to 19.1 Million People ๐๐ฅ
Then I upload a photo/screenshot
4) Social Proof ๐โโ
It is imminent that people tend to check if there are other people who have bought the product or not.
It is a Human Tendency to compare & check.
Having a Social Proof Increases Conversion Rate by 34%.
Hereโs an article by Optin Monster about Social Proof-> Powerful Facts about Social Proof.
5) Educate Your Audience ๐
Your audience might not know the importance of what you are selling. So educate them.
Educate them via Case Studies, Statistics, Experiments. Show them what are they missing. Quantify it.
Hereโs how I am doing it:-
Why Quora is one of the most Underrated Marketing Channel!
~ People here are on learning mode. They constantly want to research and learn. Meaning they want something that can change their life.
~ They are looking for actionable tips/guides/hacks that can improve their Life.

6) Build Personal Relationships ๐ซ
While you are selling, build relationships with your customers. Who knows they might become a Micro-Influencer for you.
Let me tell you how this works in real life.
Sahil Lavingia is the CEO of Gumroad.
Daniel Vassallo has sold over $100k worth of Digital Products on Gumroad. Daniel is Gumroadโs one of the most top customers.
So whenever Daniel tweets something, Sahil replies to his tweets. What this does is increases the brand exposure for both of them ultimately benefitting them both.
Sahil when replies, it is then seen by all followers of Sahil & Daniel. This improves engagement on Twitter & brand equity of Gumroad. Because now Daniel is a sort of Micro-Influencer for Gumroad ( Unknowingly).
Who knows because of those little replies on Twitter, Daniel got many sales out of it due to more exposure. Indirectly benefitting Gumroad too ๐
Thatโs the power of Relationships.
7) Build a Tribe ๐
Your Tribe is your asset. When you build a tribe, it will become your wildest fans.
Gumroad ( Digital Selling Platform ) has its own proactive Facebook Group. They built a Tribe.
Because they know, Tribes are the solution ๐
So if you want to sell something, try building a tribe.
8) Value Overflow ๐ฅ
Give your audience such value that they will not hesitate to buy from you.
Value can be in the form of your tweets, your blog, anything that can make their life easy. Remember the Quote by Gary?
For Twitter, Make sure your every Tweet is Value-driven, Blog full of Strategies, Podcast full of value, Video full of knowledge. You get the point right?
There are no shortcuts for making money online. You gotta be patient & deploy everything that you have.
